So technically the ceiling is a wall and I couldn't resist posting this amazing room. I'm calling this the lucky clover kitchen and one that I would never DIY. Installing wallpaper on a ceiling is definitely a job for the pros.

Not for people with allergies...that's for sure. Using feathers as an upholstered wall
treatment is beyond bold and even more time consuming. On the up side, I bet it's soft and really
dampens the noise.
I'm sure no birds were harmed in the making of this wall treatment.

Why not have an Art Gallary in your bathroom. It creates a wonderful distraction. I definitely think white frames helps keep the look clean, which is always a plus in a bathroom.

While some of you might think that theme rooms are never okay, what about a more subtle approach? How about a themed gallery wall. We are definitely fans of this look, which seems to work best as a way to unify flea market finds. So instead of a random paint-by-number collection, maybe you just stick to landscapes. We love this look.

See the light with this set of back lit and textured treatments designed to splash contemporary class across all of your tired interiors.
The covering on this modern lounge wall looks as though it has been spliced to reveal a glowing underbelly, with colors that change to morph the mood of the space. The cool concrete of this headboard wall offsets adjacent warmer wood tones.
The incredible panels provide a soothing backdrop in this sleep space, and part to reveal soft mood lighting here and there just enough to light a cozy evening. A blanket of rough wood block looks superb against the smooth contrast of glossy furniture materials in this space. The naturally occurring mixture of dark and light wood grain provides an undulating effect, making the wall appear to have movement in its warmth.

Down is Up – Bamboo Flooring for Wall Treatments
They used prefinished Signature Naturals flooring, which comes in boxes of four precise lengths. This assortment of lengths combined with various sizes of starter pieces that we cut made quick work out of staggering the butt-joints throughout the wall.
They simply applied the flooring over the existing drywall using construction adhesive and brad nails to hold the pieces in place while the adhesive cured.
Tools required:
Miter saw, brad nailer, air compressor, hammer, nail set, construction adhesive, table saw or jig saw, level, tape measure, and pencil.

Use stripes of varying widths and colors for a fun, fresh accent wall.
Three to five colors and widths seem to be the sweet spot for this project as too many colors/widths make it difficult to see any pattern and can create too much visual noise.

The term petrification comes from the Greek petro, meaning stone. Each
piece of our Petrified Wood tiles displays the unique knots and rings
that characterized an individual tree; no two are the same and the end
result is a lustrous, exotic look that is incredibly durable and rare.

I'll Take What's Behind Door #3
Honestly, I'm not sure if this cool or creepy...but had to share.
Piet
Hein Eek had this very creative design idea for one of their client’s foyer
wall. They simply covered it with a bunch of old doors, cut and arranged to fit
together like puzzle pieces that fill the entire wall. Some of them look worn,
others look newer, some are plain, some have patterns. This quirky, rustic
melange looks so great against the modern staircase. The idea seems simple but
it is so creative, and probably something a DIY enthusiast could handle. The
images feature two versions of the project - one with mainly white doors and
another full of color. They have such a different impact but both are equally
cool. via Poppytalk.

Living walls or green walls are self sufficient vertical gardens that are attached to the exterior or interior of a building. They differ from green façades (e.g. ivy walls) in that the plants root in a structural support which is fastened to the wall itself. The plants receive water and nutrients from within the vertical support instead of from the ground.
The Green over Grey™
living wall system is different than others on the market today. It
closely mimics nature and allows plants to grow to their full potential,
without limitations. It is also by far the lightest.

“Tear Off” Wallpaper by ZNAK
Wallpaper that encourages the artist within us all! ZNAK "Tear Off" Wallpaper is first applied with easy to handle pieces and then strips can be pulled away and torn off as you wish, to create your own pattern.
Sadly, it does not seem to be easily purchased at a local store. Znak is located in Latvia. If you are interested in purchasing the wallpaper, just email them at wallpapers@znak-life.com
This is a great solution for apartment dwellers wanting to open up their small spaces with the power of mirrors. Oversized mirrors aren't always practical because of their weight, expense, and difficulty in getting from the store to home for those without personal transportation. But modular designs give you all the impact at a lower cost that's easier for a single person to install.
